During my own education, one of the places in the college that I enjoyed spending time at was the library. The Library is that one common place in a school, college or university that everyone needs access to.

The library is the place we visit to gain knowledge, answer a question, read a newspaper, etc. Even though we say everything is moving to digital, the printed media is an important part of our education.

So how do persons with disabilities especially visually impaired and print impaired get access to this knowledge.

I believe that the library is that one common place that if we make inclusive, we can start to mainstream and include people with disabilities. It is that one place, where everyone goes and where even a person with disability should have access.

In libraries, we can provide different assistive technology such as desktop magnifiers like Optelec ClearView+ , scan and read solution like Optelec ClearReader+, screen readers like Dolphin Supernova, alternate format conversion software like Dolphin EasyConverter, etc

Please feel free to read our white paper on Inclusive Libraries or then view a presentation on slideshare on Inclusive Libraries then get in touch with us via email or call us at +91-22-26860485/6 to create disabled friendly libraries.
